Weird weather note from Las Vegas

A few days ago it was 72 degrees and beautiful. Today had a high of about
65 degrees. Tonight I heard the weather forecast for the weekend - high will
be low 40s, low in the low 30s, and they are expecting snow, possibly over a
couple of days. March is going to be colder than January? What gives? I
guess now Las Vegas will join the rest of the country in this year of weird
weather.

Hold onto your hats -- if Greenland's ice and the polar caps are melting, as
they appear to be, expect disruption of the gulf stream, a much much colder
Europe, rising waters changing coastlines, and weirder weather to come that
will make this look like a good year.

This is normal for race weekend. Of the 7 since I moved here, 5 of them were
either cold, rainy, windy or a combination of those. After year 3 I vowed
never to buy advance tickets again.
