weather

I'm heading out July 30. The weather there sure looks mild so far.
Not what I expected in August.

I've been watching the temps down there too and they seem to be lower than I expected. I'm
heading down there in a month and I fully expected to roast, but now I'm not sure.

Wife and I have had a discussion about my VP technique. I've always started low, like with
25¢, and if I do well graduate up to 50¢ or $1. She says I should start with $1 and if my luck
runs lowsy change to lower. Anybody have any thoughts?

Two thoughts:

How mild is mild. LV is 100+ every day.

My mother-in-law always said: Let your pocketbook be your guide.

Good luck!

I call this the Come Out Shooting technique, and it's fine if you can
hit something early on. It can be a real drag when you run through
half your bankroll in the first hour or so of a casino stay which
leaves you playing short pay $.05 vp for two or three days or worse,
Hot Hot Penny. I have overheard the argument more than once in my
gaming career: "What do you mean, you've already lost all our
gambling money? We just checked in!"

Drew's argument is my argument too. I guess one can start out big if one can exercise
good money management along the way. Still, I'm leaning toward starting small and
working up but I'm appreciating the discussion.
