"When we let go of logic and reason, we move into a sort of
gambler's Twilight Zone, where myth, superstition, and gambling gods
rule."

I was at Windsor Casino this morning to check on a $75 just-to-
show-up-offer and a get a free gift. Yes, there was $75 in my
account at the kiosk along with $20 in cash back money. I now had
$95 to work with. I added another $100 and put it all into a dollar
Pick'Em machine. Played for about an hour until I lost it. Down a
hundred.

I turned in a coupon at the Player's Prestige booth that I got
out of a Casino Player magazine supplement. The gift turned out to
be a nice leather-bound photo album. Not bad for something free. By
the way, it will be triple cash back points for all January at
Casino Windsor. I'll probably be playing a lot of dollar P'E there
during that time.

Headed for MGM next to play my $20 free play at their 9/7/5 DB
progressive bank. Hit four threes for $100 to get back to even (my
own money) for the day.

Left to go to Greektown. The first thing I did was to check out
the Game King Room (I'm calling the three rooms that have vp, the
Poker Room, Game Maker Room, and Game King Room)to see if they had
9/6/4 JB and NSUD video poker games there. Yes the do. I hadn't
checked in that room for about a year, so they must have snuck them
in when I wasn't looking.

I played quarter P'E for about three hours and cashed out even. I
hit one quad. Got a beer, a $2 hot dog and went to the dollar
progressive bar to play some Bonus poker (99.6%). Hit four tens for
$175 and cashed out $125 up.

Next it was quarter NSUD for a half an hour and I stayed even
when I hit back to back Royals with the deuces. I gave back $50 on
quarter 9/6 JB. Took my December cash backs of $120, cashed in a $30
coupon and I was out of there with $225 extra in my pocket. Just
enough to pay my bar bill at the Rochester Elks.

luck, always come at the expense of someone else's bad luck."
