I'm contemplating getting a ticket to see the Police and Elvis Costello at
MGM Grand Garden Arena 5/23. I've never seen a show there, so I had a few
questions I was hoping some of ye might be able to answer.
1) How are the acoustics at MGM Grand Garden Arena? I'm a total sound snob
and when I lived in Virginia, I regularly drove to Philly or Baltimore for
shows rather than endure the terrible sound at the Verizon Center, aka "The
Phone Booth," which fittingly has all the acoustical charm of an actual
phone booth.
2) Anyone seen the Police on this tour yet? I've been waiting two decades
to see them, but every review I've heard of this reunion tour has been
lackluster at best.
3) How bad are the sightlines from the nosebleeds? Given my ambivalence
about the show I'm not really trying to drop $300 to sit close.
