BS Posted: So Correna did you post the highlights of your Vegas
adventure anywhere? Get any more fly-in to Laughlin offers?

Can you tell I'm a bit behind? You asked that on 5/25. School's back
in session and it just gets in the way of my vp hobby : )

No, I didn't post the highlights this time.. but I'll give you a
brief rundown (nice of you to ask).

Trip started lousy. Took me 11 hours to fly from Milw to Vegas. I
think I coulda been to Hawaii in less time. Plane troubles we were
told.... Stayed in a suite at the Cal for 4 nights. It was very
nice - they gave me gold card. Ate at the 2nd Street Grill for the
1st time - food was very good. Harv came out for 5 nights of the
trip. He played ddb and did well. I played mostly db, a bit of ddb
thrown in. I did lousy. No rf's for me and not nearly the expected
amount of 4oak's.

We visited the Cannery on their multiple pts Friday and played the
prog bp at the bar. Harv hit it for $1380 with a $20 investment. He
also hit a load of 4oak's. He left that machine up $1800. We stopped
at Bellagio to see the conservatory; it was closed for the
seasonal "change." Decided to play the $1 prog at the bar for
awhile. Harv hit 4 A's w/ kicker for $2k. I lost.

We went to TI to see Mystere` on Sat nite. Had about 40 minutes to
kill, so of course, we used it to play a bit. Harv hit several bonus
4oak's and a sf on ddb. He into the show up another $1700. I played
jb and lost. Mystere` was excellent! Ate at Alize` after the show.
The waiter was a snob and treated us lousy. His attitude matched the
food. The only disappointing meal of the trip. Won't eat there again.

On to the Palms for a 3 night stay in a Junior Suite. Only
difference from a regular room is that it is 100 sq ft larger and on
a "corner," so it has 2 walls with windows and a very nice view from
both windows. Another friend flew out and stayed with me for 3 days.
We ate at Buddah's (the Sea Bass is wonderful!) twice. Harv and I
each got a massage. The least memorable we have ever had (and the
most expensive). Their spa is nothing to speak of... is way beneath
the standard I expected at the Palms. Went to the pool a couple of
times and had planned to order pool-side pina` coladas (love those).
The couple next to us ordered 1 pina colada and a bottle of water -
total bill - $21!! I did NOT order one. That is plain NUTZ! VP-wise
I continued to lose, Cindy didn't play, Harv held his own. Very
disappointing was that 5x while playing, my card stopped working. No
way to know for how long. Once it happened on 25c, 4x on $1's. When
I went to VIP to complain nicely about it, I was told that was very
unusual (I know that isn't true from other posters) and there was
nothing that could be done. The Palms is the only casino I had this
problem.

Cindy and I went to see Ron Lucas, Mac King, and Clint Holmes - all
very good shows.

Cindy and Harv both left and my last 3 nights were in a suite at MSS
(gold card again). The suites are nice, but the maid service is
mediocre. My alarm clock was broken (literally in pieces on the
nightstand). When I requested a new one, I was told they had none.
Shouldn't the maid have noticed this?? I had 1 good run here; a 3
hour session on $1 db with many 4oak's. That session made a small
dent in my accumulated trip losses.

My last 4 trips come to 29 days with 0 rf's and way less 4oak's than
expected. My trip in 6/2002 was for 4 nights and had 5 rf's with 4
A's more times than I could count... The swings are not for the
faint of heart.

I have not had any more fly-in offers from Laughlin... they always
come as a suprise. Many rf's to all!
