Ethics charges
are easy to make, ill defined, and hard to refute. If someone says your
ethics suck, basically all you can do is say that "no they don't."
Is Bob making ethics charges against some who question others' ethics? But he does make two very important points.
1. Ethics charges should never be just implications; if made, they should be backed up with documentation.
2. I appreciate the fact that I don't have to say, "No they don't." Several people have posted positive things about me, for which I thank them all.
Buying books because you
like the author is pretty silly.
Perhaps, but it's a natural human response to associate mainly with people you like. Also, it may be reasonable to NOT buy certain products because you don't want to support the vendor's agenda.
