Warning to Button Pounders

Thanks god you're in Arkansas. Here in Boston and NY, if someone walks up to
you and punches you in the face you have every right to punch them back. I
could not see any jury in the US, except in maybe Arkansas, convicting you of
battery for defending yourself.
By the way, if someone blew smoke in my face, I certainly wouldn't punch then
in the face. I would just shoot them :slight_smile:

I seriously doubt that, and I'll believe it when a licensed attorney in one of those jurisdictions tells me that that's the law there. Lots of people think they know the law, but they don't.

You mean you never heard of "the right to punch back?" It's
guaranteed in the New York Boston Constitution. Article 17 and two
thirds, I believe.

BTW, since the guy doesn't know that you CAN'T be "here in Boston AND
New York", his knowledge of the law if obviously surpassed only by
his geographical proficiencies.

I guess you could be a half ass in each city.
