Want some publicity about the Suncoast debacle??

Here's your chance. I am in contact with a R-J reporter who is very interested in this story and wants to talk to some of the people who were 86'd to get the full first-hand details. This might not go public, but there is a chance they will cover it - worth a try. Negative PR on this issue may help???

I know you all don't want your name published. I told the reporter this - and you can probably tell your story without revealing your name. If you are willing to do this, please e-mail me PRIVATELY and I will give you the details on how to contact this reporter. Obviously you can trust me not to reveal names. Probably it will be best to contact the reporter using an e-mail alias and you can do the same in contacting me, if you wish.

This will be a case of sour grapes using information by "unnamed" individuals.

The sooner people accept the reality the days of AP VP of yesteryear are never coming back, the sooner people can focus their energies in more positive ways. To take another page out of Buddhism, "all conditioned things are impermanent" -- things change.

Time to move on and change your expectations (or look for a real job).

Don't include me in the above obituary.

I think all but the truly deluded (and those selling books/software!) have accepted that.
That still does not excuse people playing negative games being frog marched out of a casino by uniformed rent a cops for the "crime" of using a coupon they themselves put in the city's only daily paper. Nauseating. All they had to do was close the players accounts and stop their welfare checks. No need for these sickening in your face confrontations.

Sour grapes is not the issue. Advantage play is not the issue. This is the issue: Does the right to refuse service give casino personnel carte blanche to trample on the civil rights of United States citizens?

Have to agree with the Mickenator here.

At the Suncoast, nobody was working a machine that
they knowingly were exploiting a flaw. Nobody was
doing anything dishonest or tricky.

I still don't get why a Casino, if they honestly think
(how can 5X points ruin their bottom line) you have
to go for their financial help, should give you a name
tag and make you an honorary slot host and put
your picture on the wall.

BANNED FROM the SAHARA VP Room!
[Your Name Here]

What message would that send to the playes?

The Casino is HONEST
The Casino is FUN
the Casino can be BEATEN

I'm also guessing that if your relatives from out
of town come to Las Vegas, they would want
to see your photo on their BANNED Hall of Fame.

I want my 86'D T-shirt from Bob Stupak's ghost.

So not only does this non-Attorney think Mickey
is right on from a legal, Constitutional and moral
perspective, but from a financial and business one.

Could be an inside job. Some employees want to control who gets to use a multiplier coupon and who doesn't. Employees of course can't gamble (at most casinos), but their "friends and family" can. Cheating machines is difficult and rare, not so for coupons and promotions.

Right to refuse service is not the issue. Surrounding someone who is dressed appropriately, not disorderly or disruptive, or commiting an unlawful act, with a squad of security guards and perp walking them-- while everyone within eyesight witnesses it--to the door is the issue. It is an injury to the person being perp walked.

I agree with Micky. Just have a floor manager tell the player that he is done for the day. Then send him a letter saying he has been 86'd. However, if policy is to backroom a player and photograph him, it may take more than a suit.
It's got to be a tough job to 86 someone. Something I wouldn't want to do.
I've also got to say I've never seen someone get tossed from a casino.

I've never seen anyone get ejected. I am a longtime player too. I've had very limited interaction with them. One time they helped me to my room and the other I was messing with a change girl and the security guy came to check on things, but never spoke to me.
I'm only in Vegas 6 to 9 times a year. So my experience is limited.
I've heard a story from I guy I met on the floor about how a cocktail waitress friend got her boobs grabbed by a drunk guy and was tossed.

Former HRH monitor and never seen someone tossed from a casino? Wow Hard Rock is known for this. Security there is very touchy. One little wrong gesture or comment and they will kick you out. Ive seen it there and many other places. Ive seen it done for anything from counting to spanking an ass.

Were the people who were 86'd forbidden to play at all Boyd Properties or just Sun Coast?

<<Were the people who were 86'd forbidden to play at all Boyd Properties or just Sun Coast?>>

Seemed to vary - some were told this, some weren't. Although one person who was told he was banned from all properties afterwards checked with his host at another Boyd property, who told him he was still welcome at his casino, that Suncoast couldn't tell another casino what to do.

I think a more accurate description would be:

...the cocktail waitress had her breasts grabbed by a drunken boob.

My mom was an english teacher, yikes....a drunk guy grabbed the gigantic boobs of a beautiful HRH cocktail waitress who's name escapes me and was tossed. I didn't see the incident, but I've seen the waitress and he had great taste.
