Wallet Stolen at Mandalay Bay

Don't forget that WSOP Main Event champ Greg Raymer was assaulted and
mugged in the hallway outside of his room at Bellagio some time ago, no doubt by
some idiot who thought Raymer would actually have his "cash game" bankroll
in his pockets. At Bellagio! Stuff happens in Vegas, no matter where
you might be.

That is something I won't forget.? Greg and I have been friends for several years.? Matter of fact I was one of his financial "backers" in the past for his poker tournaments before he became famous.? He had been a strong player for many years beating them up at Foxwoods and traveling some of the same tournaments I would go to every year.? When he put out an offer to "sell" part of his action, I jumped in right away and was not disappointed.

We?did dinner last year when I had my son in Vegas with me.??Hearing Greg tell the story of this?attempted holdup is quite sobering and truly does reinforce that it can and does happen anywhere.?

Having had two close calls with wallets missing - but found by casino personell, everything intact (I must travel under a lucky star), I have started using one of the casino bungee cords attached to my wallet and the inside of my purse, usng "o" rings. I have not lost one in the last 10 years, but on one occassion, the person with their hands on it said "Oh, I found this under your chair". It was still attached to my purse as it tugged when they tried to lift it. Unless they take the whole purse, this is a pretty good solution.
Cheers,
Bonnie

Brian, if I remember the story about Greg Raymar, he did have a very sizable bank roll on him. The robber was armed and Greg fought his off. He said afterwards that it wasn't the smartest thing to do. I'm pretty sure the guy got caught.
