This is the first time I've posted here, because it's the first time I
thought I might be helpful. Like Mac, I bought VPW at the Las Vegas
Advisor when I went in to renew my membership. The discount coupon in
the back of the book is for $10. I had to earn it, though, to figure
out how to upgrade. Click on Help-VPW on the web-support (bottom of
page)-online support center-question #3 "My site code and mid have
changed. Why won't my activation code work?" Follow those instructions.
This isn't the first time this topic has come up. A poster, DWK, gave a
similar convoluted process, but I was unable to follow it. Mr. Dancer,
you might save some tech support time if the question "How do I upgrade
to the latest version?" appeared in the FAQs.
It was worth it to me to save $10, but if you live out of town, you
definitely need to download this before you visit if you have no
other way to practice.
VPW update
Thanks alot for you informative update! I had VPW version 1.00, bought it when it first came out, and the upgrade process has always been a well guarded secret ( lol ). The company never , ever sent me any email about any software update. I followed your advice and downloaded the latest version 1.11 but it came up as an evaluation 10 day copy instead of a fully activated version. By running the 'new activation' api , and entering my email it was able to generate a new key , and now its permanent once again.
I still dont know the differences between v 1.0 and v1.11 ( they both seem to have the same exact features ), but its well worth the price.
