[vpmail2] Fw: Sad News - Death of Skip Hughes

I am so very saddened by this news. Neither Ellen nor I ever met Skip,
but we wrote an article for VPP (on restaurants!) and considered ourselves
'Friends of Skip.' Skip's sense of humor was wonderful - and I learned much
of what I know about VP from Skip and/or work that was somehow related to
the SHG. I wish I knew he had moved to Carson City, as we've both spent
considerable time up there in the last couple of years. To say Skip will be
sorely missed is a great understatement. Farewell my friend - rest in peace.

We belonged to the SHG for several years before we finally met Skip at one of his gatherings (at the Treasure Island in the "coffee shop"). Indeed, he had an aura of humor and, yes, grandfatherly generousity (sharing advise/information). We aare wealthy for having known Skip! Please share our condolances with Marie and his/her whole family. "May the shadow of sorrow soon pass."
