vpfreeAdmin to Mark..."no need to be polite!"

The Admin's posting below is a very curious reply, with lots of words.

I believe the gist is:

1. The admin is working very hard to keep vpfee polite and civil

Correct.

2. Since you (Mark) are not Harry; Babe; or Dancer I don't need to be
polite with you, and can sarcastically say "missing your opinions,
our loss"

Although there's no necessity to do so on FREEvpFREE,
I try to be polite and civil to everyone - even to people
who aren't very good at objectively summarizing gists.

3. I no longer offer vacations, I just put anyone that posts anything
interesting on moderation e.g. paladin et al...Watch-Out Mickey Crimm
you've posted some great letters...you could be next.

Moderation only happens to the very, very few members who
have violated the rules, and to principals involved in a negative
situation. And, moderation only serves to shortstop (and direct
to FREEvpFREE) posts that violate the posting rules.

Anyone who can't/doesn't observe the rules isn't welcome on
vpFREE. Everyone who observes the rules is welcome on vpFREE.

4.The idea that people that post useful information are allowed more
latitude in their postings would make some sense, but alas even here
the admin has fallen down.

Doesn't make sense to me.

I believe that rules should apply to all members equally, and
that's the way I approach them.

Perhaps, you're just on a very long learning curve.

Whatever.

The vpFREE Administrator does not apply the rules equally. On vpFREE,
moderated members' posts which violate the rules get rejected and deleted,
while unmoderated members are able to post equally offensive messages
without having their messages deleted or rejected. Unmoderated members are
allowed to post personal negative comments without repercussion. All you
have to do is read the messages in the archives to see that I am correct.
The vpFREE rules DO NOT apply to all members equally.
