That would really affect the Indian casinos in California because we are a
shirt drive from Nevada no matter where you are in the long and skinny
state. Since California is bankrupt (thanks to 40 years of progressive
policies- the same thinking that now pervades the Federal level)- the
legislature
is wild to raise taxes any way it can. I really would not put anything past
them. They even tried to pass a "snack tax" on soft drinks and potato
chips because they deemed it "unhealthy".
