[vpFREE] Re: CAT System

First of all, you are very wrong. I can afford a car, but will not buy or rent one when there is a very good transit system both in Las Vegas where I am 2-3 days w a week and san Diego 4 days a week. I will not make a bad problem of pollution and global warming worse. Take a look at the Larsen Ice Shelf in Antartica and it's break up caused by global warming. Take a look at the fact that Juneau had 6 days this past June in the mid 80's something that never happened before. Fairbanks had a June average temp of 66, second highest ever. the polar bears are in danger of starvation and eventual extinction due the retreating ice. Working one day less a week than others due to not having a car saves time in the long run. I could waste money on one. I ger plenty of offers in the mail to buy one, and I have a steady job and finances to buy one. But in San Diego and Las Vegas there is no need for one. I have a better on time record at work than those who come by car and the same applies at school and other functions I go to. I travel more than most as well. I have stayed in Casinos in every part of town without a vehicle and have suffered no inconvenience from Texas Station/Fiesta in the NW to Sam's Town on the Southeast, to Silverton in the South to Boulder Station, the N and S Strip, and the Palace Station. I understand wanting a car in Vegas, but needing a car, No. I love being free of car payments, repairs, insurance, rising fuel prices, parking problems, theft problems, bad drivers, etc.

I think I implied that you were ignorant of the facts, hypocritical
in your posts, a scold and a cheapskate, for all of which, I am sorry.

I'll help you out a little. The monorail is down for an indefinite
amount of time (I'd never take the stupid thing with all the po'
folk anyway) 90% of the taxi drivers are from Eastern Europe, the ME
or Central Asia (and besides, your Queen doesn't know how to tell
you how to hold a conversation with anyone who can't read her book)
and only criminals, the unemployed, faggots, liberals, pinkos and
hookers who are too ugly to get paid for passing out aids to tricks
who are too drunk from their trips to Ellis Island to keep their
flys zippered, take the busses. Now if you're a
certifiable 'advantage vp player' and are on the Queen's team, you'd
be riding Frank Sinatra Drive in order to save 35 cents in gas every
time you visit the casinos.

First of all, the mixture of those who take transit is as varied as those who drive. Secondly, I believe that bigotry has no place here. Being gay is not a crime, and whether you are gay or straight, name calling (faggot) has no place. There is nothing wrong with being politically liberal, conservative, centrist, or even to the right or left of this, as long as you do not practice the violent overthrow of the government, your vote and opinion means just as much.

There are many of means that feel that using a car is a waste of money with all its problems and costs. There are others that want to do their best to save energy, reduce polltuion, and protect the environment. There are others who appreciate the convenience of being able to read or rest on their way to work, school, shopping, or visits and don't want the stress of driving.

Another important point. Jean Scott is an excellent source of how to get the best value for your money and chastising her in the manner of this post is unprofessional. If you mentioned that you disagreed with her because it wasn't worth the effort to use so many coupons or to cut costs in her ways, that would be one thing but it would be a respecteable post, but to attack the person as you have done to me really isn't right.

For what is means to you I did a research paper for a graduate course at UNLV a few years ago proving that unless you make more than about $15/hour, using transit versus owning a car saves you time. With todays value if money, think $17-$23 hour for the same thing.

Concerning the taxis, in many cases you are correct but not because of their race, this is bigotry as the one's caught for longhauling have been of every ethic background I myself avoid been them. As to the monorail, there have engineering problems and I know it's down, and personally i think a light rail system would have been easier, but I strongly believe that it will be up and running within 90 days safety and efficiently. How many cars were too dangerous to be on the roads before major flaws that killed many were discovered? (Corvair, certain Firestone tires, etc?)

What's that about? I didn't say who was better--I said those who
ride public transit are for the most part undesireables, and many
who drive the streets of LV are impaired, uninsured, and are forced
into driving junkers (because they play video poker, and vp players
are mainly from the lower classes of society) that have no right
being on the road. Wasting energy, pollution from cars, global
warming....that's nothing but noise and is not an issue with
visitors who come to LV looking for a luxourious stay and a good
time. You might as well be concerned with the amount of water
pumping thru your shower in the hotels if these things matter to
you. I look for the most powerful showers and take loooong ones
because that's what I do at home. If you are always neurotic about
this collateral stuff and don't go for a piece of the pie today,
it'll all be beyond your reach tomorrow.

The comment was about their both being homos. I don't care about
organized crime ties. I just don't want or like some lispy-mouthed

trying to enjoy a good dinner or attending an important event.

More of that liberal T-O-L-E-R-A-N-C-E once again! You live within
your means and level and forget about others. If anyone can't do
that then it's their problem. If someone's too lazy to get a job
then get off the street when I walk by. And straight (normal) people
have never been the problem in the queer issue. It's THEY who've
suddenly wanted to begin pushing their degenerate ways in our faces.
Gay marriage? Ha! it's a travesty, and if they want to dong each
other from behind and be mutants then keep their mouths shut and get
out of my way. Actually, it's all so twisted that it makes Clinton

the Archbishop of Boston saying mass.

You have gone too far this time. No one is pushing marriage in your faces. For the record I am single and have no marriage plans, straight, gay, or otherwise. But the gays are not pushing marriage at you. They just want the same rights to marry that anyone else has. This does not make them degenerate. The only people who should decide who should marry whom are the two adults of legal age that want to marry each other. No one is telling you whom to marry or not to marry. They just want the same choice. That is being fair.

To say that being gay is not OK but being linked to organized crime is? Wow! years ago I lived in the Chicago Suburb of River Forest, Ill. The white population there had no problem with 27 mafia members living there, but they did everything they could to keep the blacks out.

I totally agree with you that the unlicensed and uninsured should beoff the roads. It has been postulated that much of the traffic problem in California would go away if the millions of unlicensed and uninsured motorists were taken off the roads. I am sure that the same would be true in Nevada. Driving is a privilege and if you don't have a license, you should not be driving. If you own a car and it's not insured it should be kept off the streets until it is insured. This is true weather you are native born, an immigrant, a visitor, or an elected official. Using the psoting of a bond option with the state in lieu of insurance (allowed in Ca.) would also be OK if legal in Nevada. Glad there is something we agree on! Both the motorists and bus riding public would be better off with better enforcement of th elicensing and insurance laws. Likewise, if your vehicle is unsafe and cannot pass a safety inspection, it should not be allowed on the road until it is safe. Wow, if we did all this the bus riding and car using public could make much better time.

Using the term fairy isn't right. His political views are just as valid. I am sure you have a remote and can change the channel, just like I do not like the slanted Fox News, thus I watch a different channel.

Many people work the jobs they do because that is what they can get. The economic system in this country is not truly equal and many jobs are based on who you know, rather than what you know. The casino industry is a great example of this. On the issue of welfare there are far more dollars given out in corporate welfare than for individuals, i.e., the San Diego Charger ticket guarantee, the Petco Park construction, etc. Most on welfare would really like ot have a regular job. Yes there are welfare abusers and these need to be dealt with, just as corporations that abuse the public with dishonesty and corruption.

transit riders are poorer, that doesn't make them inferior, nor does
their place of origin.

If you are always neurotic about
this collateral stuff and don't go for a piece of the pie today,
it'll all be beyond your reach tomorrow.

you put down the mayor of San Francisco?

The comment was about their both being homos. I don't care about
organized crime ties. I just don't want or like some lispy-mouthed
fairy nearby 'talking turkey' with his brother-in-aids when I'm
trying to enjoy a good dinner or attending an important event.

it may be difficult to improve ones economic status with the wealth

More of that liberal T-O-L-E-R-A-N-C-E once again! You live within
your means and level and forget about others. If anyone can't do
that then it's their problem. If someone's too lazy to get a job

Gay marriage? Ha! it's a travesty, and if they want to dong each
other from behind and be mutants then keep their mouths shut and get
out of my way. Actually, it's all so twisted that it makes Clinton
diddling the intern with the biggest cigar money can buy look like
the Archbishop of Boston saying mass.

I totally agree with you that the unlicensed and uninsured should

An excellent point, and reason to give all the illegals one last

Ift isn't right to deny to same rights that you have to others, just because you don;t like their lifestyle. The correct lifestyle is one thing to you, it is different for others. Callingit degeneracy is just an opinion of yours, it doesn't make it a fact. I am not asking oyu to like other life styles, just be tolerant of them. They are not harming you. All they want is to have the same monetary and other benefits that "traditional marriage" gets. That is very reasoneable.

I think that any more posts on the subject to you are meaningless. You are intolerant of the views of others on this subject. Because you don't agree with the lifestyles of others you call them degenerate. Thus, I will let you post all you like and those who want can absorb the prejudice and intolerance of alternate lifestyles that you expouse. Prejudice dies hard, you have proved that very well as an excellent example. End of subject!

I think that any more posts on the subject to you are

meaningless. You are intolerant of the views of others on this
subject.

Tolerance when something makes no sense whatsoever is a sign of
weakness. It's also what got us into the 9-11 attacks. Suspicion and
action are the only ways to keep the integrity of the US in-tact.
And if we don't shut the border with Mexico off completely and kill
on-sight every single illegal of ANY nationality trying to get in,
we're going to have another attack over here--only bigger and more
devastating. Would you like any of YOUR family involved in that? Or
would you prefer to take the route of T-O-L-E-R-A-N-C-E once again?

  Because you don't agree

with the lifestyles of others you call them degenerate.

You're correct. If you take a good close look (if you can hack it)
at big-mouth Rosie O'Donnell and her so-called lover trying to act
as if they have a right to get married for whatever twisted
reasoning, you'd see a true degenerate in-action.

Prejudice dies hard, you have proved that very well as an excellent

example. End of subject!

You don't see me on TV shoving my values at Rosie or any of the
other queers, do you???

I think that any more posts on the subject to you are meaningless.

You are

intolerant of the views of others on this subject. Because you

don't agree

with the lifestyles of others you call them degenerate. Thus, I

will let

you post all you like and those who want can absorb the prejudice

and

intolerance of alternate lifestyles that you expouse. Prejudice

dies hard,

you have proved that very well as an excellent example. End of

subject!

The cute little buzzwords and catch phrases from the enlightened left.
Let's see how tolerant you are.
Let's start with "alternative lifestyles"
You say marriage or unions between consulting individuals is OK. How
about Polygamy? If we have 1 consulting male and 10 consulting
females is that OK?
We know that Mohammed, the founder of that great religion of peace
and love, married 5 year olds. Is that OK if we get the OK from the
minors parents?
Now let's see about your views on sexual orientation.
Is beastiality OK? What happens behind closed doors between man and
his dog isn't the Govts. business is it? We know the dog won't
complain.
Necrophyllia. Hell here we only need the consent of one. Should there
be laws against this?
Pedophyllia. This is a a "sexual orientation" just like
homosexuality. I would bet that AIDS, which runs rampant through the
homosexual community, kills more people than the pedophile prowling
the streets. You may think this a foolish analogy but you have to
look at with the logic you're using.
The truth is that your tolerance is nothing more than a means to
legitimize perversion.
To the left perversion is alternative lifestyles. Killing unborn
children is a womans right to choice. Euthanasia is mercy.
Answer these questions. Tell everyone here what you think. Don't be
like the rest of the left in here that ignore the message and attack
the messenger.
Show us how narrow-minded we are.
