For some reason, the rules of basic decency don't seem to
apply here, at least in both directions: several posts that
only contained insults or sarcasm directed at me should not
have been allowed to stay on the board.
I try not to make value judgments on the content of posts
(other than obvious spam and unacceptable foul language),
and direct my policing endeavors to the maintenance of a
non-disruptive environment. Almost anything goes on vpFREE,
as long as people consider the source, take things with a
grain of salt, and don't run a thread into the ground.
Then, when/if disruptions occur or appear imminent, the
thread gets moved to FREEvpFREE. I'm relatively content
with this procedure and it will remain in effect,
until/unless I find a better one.
