The only options are to delete messages FIFO or to bounce
all new messages.

I'll vote for FIFO. No admin effort required.

I have archived vpFREE postings in digest format back to when I started on
4/17/02. It's not complete as a few digests are missing or I didn't save
them. Have explored how to convert this into a text file but have been
stymied.

If this archive is of interest & if I can figure out how to do it quickly, I
will do the grunt work of converting it to a text file. I have a feeling that
others with better email programs than AOL may have it set up to archive
vpFREE in a separate folder & may be able to do this task a lot faster.

Just for drill, if you have a fairly recent version of Microsoft Word
for Windows (Word 97 or newer), try loading one of the archives in
AOL. While in that window, press Ctrl-A, which should select "all" of
the text.

Now press Ctrl-C which puts the text into the Clipboard.

Open Word for Windows, and put the cursor in the blank document.

Press Ctrl-V to paste.

Pretty the results up by hand or using AutoFormat.

In the Menu, select File/Save As, change the type to HTML, enter a
name, and save.

The HTML thus generated isn't pretty (at least it isn't in Office 97),
but it'll get the job done.
