vpFREE Membership Facts
ANYONE can join vpFREE. No one has ever been denied membership.
There isn't any point in refusing anyone membership, because they
can always join using an alias, and I'd rather know someone's
identity directly.
Rob Singer is a member of vpFREE. He (and anyone else) has always
had a standing invitation to join vpFREE, and Rob finally joined a
couple of weeks ago.
Several people are moderated on vpFREE (every message must be approved
by me before being posted) but only one person is banned from posting
on vpFREE. That person is Rob Singer.
I would like to know (privately) about unwelcome, private Emails that
are received as a result of vpFREE posts. There's not a whole lot that
can be done to prevent this practice, but I do have a little leverage
in some cases, and have and will ask the sender(s) to cease and desist.
I suggest that receivers of such messages don't respond, "consider the
source", and block the sender. And, it should be borne in mind that one
doesn't need to be a member of vpFREE to access posts, since alias accounts
are always available.
