vpFREE Member Participation Expectations - DEC 2008

MEMBER PARTICIPATION: Every vpFREE member, as a requirement
for continuing membership, is expected to:

1. Vote in all applicable vpFREE polls and elections.

2. Report DataBase inventory changes that they notice in casinos
they visit, unless they believe it's in their best interest to
protect an attractive game for their own personal use.

majestic 2. Beware

Sounds like a high limit paytable to avoid 1099. Was it a $5 game?
This brings the win to $1195, not $1250 - thus making the tax
paperwork unnecessary. I would thank them!

It could be an error on the casino's part. The 239 pays $1,195 in the dollar
denom, an apparent attempt to get below the W2G limit.

250dollars. this change is not on all machines but it is done on
dollars and quarters.

Yes sorry, I meant $5 denom. Basically saying what Shannon is saying...

I can not state how strongly I resent the tone of this message. I
submit to the moderatetor that it is time to take his control freak act
down the road!
Whether or not I vote in polls or post information about plays
will be an act of free choice and *not* coerced by threats.

I agree completely. The site should be changed. Those that are contributing members should have free access to all information in the system. Those that don't wish to contribute should have the option to pay for the information just as other VP sites do.

Brian,

If you don't like the rules then go somewhere else. I agree with the rules about participation.

I have a non-gaming group that I run and when I see people are not participating on the board or showing up to the events, I simply delete them. I figure that there is no reason for somebody who doesn't participate to know where and when the group is meeting or to gain knowledge without giving some of their wisdom.

I would like to see the same here.

Thanks again vpFREE Administrator for all that you do.

Chill out, man!! These are the rules. If you feel coerced, then go
somewhere else!!

You'll have to point out to me, Bill where I said I had any problem

with the rules ... I don't. But I have a major problem with the
threatening tone of the moderator. I don't like this guy and this is
prima facie evidence of why. IMO he is too in love with his power
and should resign, rather than threaten the patrons of this board.

I have absolutely nothing but the greatest admiration for our
administrator who, in the greatest tradition of volunteerism,
plows through dozens of posts each day, separating the wheat from
the chaff, the beligerent from the beleaguered, and keeps the
membership from bursting into flames. Please, Administrator,
do not change a anything about the way you do your unpaid job.

I also have a "major problem", however. It seems that the members
who post the least, and add nothing of value to the VP community
on vpFREE, are the first to complain and criticize. If they're
just going to lurk and take advantage of the information posted by
others, it would be nice if they also stifled their unfavorable
comments about those who do contribute their time and knowledge.

+1 on Babe's comments. Given the fact that membership costs exactly
$0.00 per year, what right does a NON CONTRIBUTING member have to
pi$$ and moan about the terms and conditions of membership? If a
member doesn't agree to the T&C's then apply for that steep
membership fee to be refunded and please go away.
