Why is Atlantic City is conspicuous by its absence in this list?

AC video poker gets excellent coverage from the acvpp Yahoo
group <http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/acvpp/>, which is
a free group that predates vpFREE.

A vpFREE AC group would fragment acvpp's coverage and would
be counter-productive.

Thanks. I was blissfully ignorant of it.

In future, I will be igno-ranting there.

But a question: How come the AC group predates the LV group? Casinos at
AC are a relatively recent phenomenon, aren't they? Of course, Internet
groups are much more recent, and that could explain it.

AC video poker gets excellent coverage from the acvpp Yahoo
group <http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/acvpp/>, which is
a free group that predates vpFREE.

That does explain it. Both acvpp (May 1999) and vpFREE (Dec, 2001) were created by members of the original video poker forum - vpmail, which started in Sept 1997, (about 20 years after the modern casino era began in AC).

1. Although LV is covered in the main vpFREE group, I've never
thought of it as the LV group.

2. There isn't any correlation between vpFREE's beginning and
acvpp's.

The coverage may be excellent, but the group management is not.

Three days after I sent a request to join, I am still "awaiting
approval by the group owner".
