Greedtown's double-point Thursdays run through December. I was there this
past Thursday bangin' away at the quarter FPPE for about 4 hours, strolled out
$565 ahead. A couple of quads and a straight flush will do that.
By the way, this is another one for those folks (like me) who are constantly
puzzled by the methods used by casinos to determine Who gets What. I had only
been in there twice in the month prior to those bounceback coupons arriving,
playing quarters only, and that also means I'd only been there twice in about
3 years. Yet I got a weekly $40, while Terry and Pappy have apparently been
in there swingin' away at the dollars and only got $30. WTF???

I was there at the bar playing for a couple of hours Friday night
also until about 10:00. I started out with $200 playing 9/6 JB, built
it up to $475, thought about cashing out, but played on and lost it
all.
Yes, we all hate it when that happens, and in retrospect, maybe the
smart thing would have been be to quit with the winnings. But if you
sat down with the intent of going for the royal, then go for it. Don't
look back. But please, set those loss limits or you will be tormented
by a large, hard to take loss that maybe you can't afford.
A couple of weeks ago, I dropped a grand playing dollar JB and
Pick'Em at the place. I, once again, thought about quitting when I was
down a couple of hundred, but kept feeding it hundreds in the hope of
hitting the royal and lost. I did not feel good about it.
The difference is that I can afford it, (remember the $21,000
lottery win I hit earlier this year)and expect this to happen every
now and then. Thank God it's more then than now, although I'm not sure
if using God's name in connection with gambling is a good idea.
By the way, Thursdays are double point days at Greektown, so if
you're going to gamble there, that's the day to do it. That's the day
I'll be playing until the promo runs its course.Good luck to all of you,

PS: I'm getting $30 coupons, but they wouldn't let me cash them in
until after midnight last night? So I left with it.PS: PS: Dolores and I had a great comped ($115) meal at the Alley
Grill last night. We had to eat somewhere, so I did get some of my
money back.
