[vpFREE_Chicago] Rivers Casino

Just got back. What a zoo!! Best appears to be $1/$2/$5/$10/$25 single line
9-6DDB. Also 15-9 pNSUD. The pNSUD also on $1 Multi Strike, 5 line
Multi-Strike and Multi-Strike STP.

Note: Does anybody know what Multi-Strike Big Pick is?

A ton of bad gimmick games. No single line 25c (3/5/10 play with nothing
playable.)

They had a 2c/5c 100 line quick quads where the Jacks or better paytable was
7-5 bonus poker deluxe. (The bonus poker deluxe on the same machine was
6-5!)

Slot club boothlings clueless but what I found out is bad. (The manager is
from their Pennsylvania casino.)

$10 = 1 point. 500 points = $1 (0.02%). Mid level card (5,000 pts - $50,000
coin in per six months) gets 0.025% Top level card (40,000 - $400,000 coin
in per six months.) gets 0.03%.

I have looked at about 85% of the games. The one area that could have
playable games that I did not look at was in High-Limit. (I have checked the
rightmost game there and it will be included in the database. If anybody
finds anything semi-playable in the other four games in High-Limit, please
let me know.)

I will try to contact the slot club manager for more info but that might
take some time.

Did not play at all. BJ Players- Looks like dealer hits soft 17 and all
games dealt from a continuous shuffler.

I am the monitor for this house and will enter what I know to the database.

Anyone going to Rivers today or this week?

Of course we are all waiting to see if there is anything playable.

I am out of commission for a while with a bad back so I won't be able
to go this week.

Thanks,
Carol

1. As I recently returned from there, I believe for blackjack you meant cards are dealt from an automatic shuffler and NOT a continuous shuffler. There is a BIG difference. For clarity, the Pittsburgh location does deal from a continuous shuffler. Decor etc is exactly the same as Pittsburgh.

2. Calling it a zoo, is a gross understatement. It had reached it's capacity and they were letting people in 25 at a time. There were long lines for everything, plus a lack of personnel given the size of the crowd. Parking was another horror story, although at 2AM there were many open spaces.

3. The 100 play 2cent videopoker has a $2 minimum bet so everyone I saw playing had all lines lit. Nothing playable though.

I did not look closely at the BJ games. They looked like the continuous
shufflers in use at a few tables of the Majestic Star so I just assumed they
were. I have played BJ as a card counter but not for big stakes so I do know
the difference. I did find out what Multi-Strike Big Pick is. I changed the
name of the other Multi-Strike game to Multi-Strike 16x. that is what LED
gaming now calls it. (Used to be Multi-Strike Deluxe.)

Notice: Not any single-line VP below $1. Every game below $1 was some kind
of gimmick game. Notice that the 2c/5c games were quick quads or Super times
pay! Also on those games the Jacks or better was actually 7-5 bonus poker
deluxe. (The bonus poker deluxe was 6-5 on the same machines).

Did you by any chance look at any High-Limit room VP other than the
rightmost game. I did not have a chance to scout those but since they were
all gimmick games, I suspect there is nothing to add to the database.

I have still not gotten a call back from Al Geldres (The slot manager). The
slot club literature is incomplete and often wrong. From what I gathered, if
true the cash back amounts to 0.02% up to 0.03% for a top level card which
on a yearly basis needs 80% of the play needed at Harrah's for a Seven Stars
card.

By the way, it took me 1:05 for a normal 10 minute drive!

Since I live only four miles from there, i will continue to act as the
vpfree monitor. I did not spend a dime there and probably never will!

I attempted to look at the High Limit Room, but it was too crowded. Also each time I attempted to get a closer look a Slot Host (the same one each time) had someones drivers license in her hand and was trying to get past me, but there was no where to move.

It was kinda funny getting off the escalator into the casino as there was a crowd of people waiting to have their ids checked. So the people on the escalator got backed up, but nowhere to go except into the person in front of them. Could get a little dangerous!

On a side note, the Sugarhouse Casino in Philadelphia deals blackjack in every way-
       by hand
       continuous shuffler
       automatic shuffler
       and some tables offer surrender
