Of course, you're not alone in the false name business so you can

I have no doubt all of the above individuals believe (and will

Charles,

I believe an author is entitled to some privacy in his or her
private life and pennames have had a long tradition among authors.
Unlike successful performers or business execs it is not financially
feasible for these individuals to have private security guards to
ensure their privacy (or public guards in the case of politicians).
Therefore I regret you "outing" their private identities. I only
wish I were ethical enough to ignore such gratuitous disclosures.
However, like many I relish information that I realize I should not
properly have, which I suppose is why "yellow journalism"
flourishes. In any case, I do not lightly suppose to judge others'
ethics.

P.S. If were anyone were to "out" the identity of the new vpFree
administrator and this caused the demise of vpFree, an alias for such
"outer" would not be sufficient, but he or she better get out of
Dodge.

As I understand it the original reason for the aliases is simply so the
casinos would not know who they were. Quite understandable with the
paranoia often exibited by casinos.
