vpFREE] Best Strategy Cards???

Linda wrote: Did you see the long list of gibberish that Bob submitted?
It would take hours to even decipher his "comments" plus it would keep
me from doing my work--guess that's the purpose.

BD replied: Not true. My purpose was to warn others of the numerous and
serious errors in your strategy. I believe that most of the members of
vpFREE can understand what I wrote and do not consider it gibberish at
all. If there's a particular sentence Linda or anyone else doesn't
understand, let me know and I'll rephrase it and provide examples.
Calling it gibberish is one of Linda's techniques to avoid answering the
criticism head on.

Linda wrote: Really don't even know if Bob wrote "his" cards himself and
don't want to criticize the hard work of somebody else.

BD replied: I virtually never say "my cards" but rather "Dancer/Daily"
cards, which acknowledges the formatting help provided by Liam W. Daily.
(Go back and check the dozens of posts I've made about these cards.
You'll see how I phrase it when I talk about them.) I agree that both
Liam and I worked hard to perfect them. When it comes to 9/6 Jacks or
Better, Liam's help was restricted to formatting and style. The perfect
strategy had already been published by me several years earlier. In
certain other strategies, Daily made actual strategic improvements to
what I had produced. Linda repeatedly says "Bob's" work as though I am
trying to take full credit for a joint product. That is not what is
happening here.

Linda wrote: Seems that when I suggest people determine how well
strategy cards work Bob gets upset and defensive.

BD replied: I am not upset at all and it appears to me that I'm on the
offensive in this debate. Linda is clearly the one upset and defensive
and refusing to discuss the substance of the criticism.

Linda wrote: In the meantime, could you or Bob or anybody else please
tell me when Dean Zamzow or Jim Wolf ran an algorithm check on "Bob's"
work? Without such a check there's really nothing to discuss.

BD replied: That's a red herring. First of all, the Dancer/Daily 9/6
Jacks Level 4 strategy is 100% perfect. 9/6 Jacks is a simple enough
game that numerous players have the game 100% memorized. I've bet
hundreds of millions of dollars on this game and even the smallest error
can become major, so I studied the game thoroughly. I've written
hundreds of pages about this game and taught hundreds of classes, so any
idiosyncrasies of the game have been thoroughly analyzed. (Jean, for
one, has claimed that although she usually avoids penalty cards, in this
game they are easy enough and she bets big enough money on the game that
she and Brad have the game 100% memorized. I believe her.) In the six
years (not sure exactly how long it's been) since the cards have been
out, with many thousands sold and in use, nobody has discovered an error
in the printed strategy for this game. (Certain other games have had
errors pointed out, which were always fixed the next time the cards were
reprinted. I recently discovered a very minor error on 10/6 DDB. In the
hand Ah Ks Qd 6h 3h, but not Ah Ks Qd 6h 5h, holding KQ is the preferred
play by slightly less than a quarter of a cent. Level 4 on the
Dancer/Daily card says to hold the A. This will be fixed in the next
edition.) We spent hundreds of hours creating the Winner's Guides, and
in the process looked into every nook and cranny of the games. If there
were an error in the strategy, we'd know about it. Perhaps Linda doesn't
know the game perfectly and wants outside computer confirmation, but
there are numerous players on vpFREE who are knowledgeable enough about
this game.

But the issue, to me, is not about the Dancer/Daily strategy. It's about
the Linda Boyd strategy as published in "Video Poker Edge." Trying to
deflect the discussion to something else is another of her techniques to
avoid discussing the inacuracies pointed out. She has spent far more
time writing these posts intentionally avoiding discussing the matters
head on than it would take her to verify every one of my claims.
