VP versus SLOTS

I am a newcomer to VP via the Slots. Is there such a thing as one
machine being more loose than another as there are (in my opinon)in
slots?
Thanks.....

in slots?

In the generic sense, other things being equal, look for the
following:
1) Denomination: higher denominations machines tend to be looser
than lower denominations, which is the case in most IGT multi-
denomination machines that I've observed in that it might be 7/5 JOB
at the 5 cent level, improves to 8/5 JOB at the quarter level, and
is 9/6 JOB at the one-dollar level. Just for fun, I compared
various "Shockwave" IGT paytables at rhge 5 cents to $10 level and
there was a huge difference in the full houses, flushes, etc at the
higher denomination.
2) Bonus feature: if a game offers a bonus feature, the extra award
has to come from somewhere else in the paytable. One example is a
IGT game where the players makes 6 coin wagers but is rewarded at 5
coin-pay offs because occasionally, a X-times feature is triggered.
3) Progressives: Again, in order to feed the progressive meter, the
game generally reduces the payline somewhere else.
4) New games: Because these games are new, in order to induce people
to play them, I know one manufacturer that released games whose
return was over 100% [I know so because I played a personal role in
this case].

The above are just guidelines as sometimes you will see full pay
deuces wild with a progressive royal flush or in the case of one
casino, they might offer 8/5 JOB in dollar machines but offer 9/6
JOB at quarters. The best thing to do is to copy down pay tables
and see if anyone has already done the analysis or use a inexpensive
commercial vp analyzer.

Good luck.
