PLAZA
9/6 JoB 4 MGMD quarter slants near the slot booth.
(These are the most uncomfortable machines I have EVER seen. Fixed-
position seats way too far from the screen.)
9/6 JoB 8 nickel slants near outer doors directly towards Main
St. (from the "stage" by the blackjack pit). These also have
8/5BP and 8/6 BP Deluxe.
The quarter FPDW (4700 coin royal) bartop at the keno bar is still
there and is still a coin-dropper.
LAS VEGAS CLUB
10/7 DB. One $ slant right in front of the cage, one $ upright about
two rows away from cage (towards Main St.), one quarter slant in the
first bank towards Fremont St. from the cage. Found absolutely NO
9/6 JoB, but I may have missed.
GOLDEN GATE
Found the lone quarter 10/7 DB, it is right against the change booth
near the front of the casino. The stool for this machine is
(probably intentionally) a painful experience.
PALACE STATION
Saw NO signs on the FPDW regarding changing of point credits.
ORLEANS
The reports of total annihilation of the 9/6 JoB aren't quite
accurate. It's still there if you have the guts to play $2
or higher in the high-limit area. MGMD from $2 to $25, including a
demonination I'd never seen before - $20. I think I also saw NSUD in
these, but am not as familiar with the paytable for this game.
As an aside a cute story I was playing the $5 9/6 JoB and
caught 4 ducks. There was a guy two machines down that was playing
deuces for $10. I won $625. HE would have won $10,000. The look on
his face was quite priceless.
