frequent BIG Hits !

There MAY be a "loose" tournament mode on a VP machine - that wouldn't
necessarily have to follow the "random" state regulations, I don't think.

My experiences-

I have never thought a VP tourney was being goofed up, unlike a Slot tourney.

IGT games have the same paytables but a clock counting down and wins being
accrued. Others also had a maximum credits to play too...like 20 minutes or
1500 credits.

Now Bally Gamemakers had a VP tourney mode with an altered paytable that
diminished royals and added value to other hands. It had a payback of 120% or so
when plugged into Winpoker.

A VP tourney would be a glorified slot tourney if say face cards were
weighted higher to show. I think the original poster saw a bank of VP machines 100%
occupied being played as fast as you can play them...therefore more big hits.

A more objective measure would be the average score across the whole tourney
field versus the expected score to measure a bias.
