I probably can't go, because of the date, but I am just curious. Do they
"rope off" a section of the casino where there are existing VP machines or
do they
set up special machines? Does everyone play the same game, like JOB, or are
there different games available and people choose? Do people put their own
money into the machines? How are the winners determined?

The tournament is being held in the Uncas Ballroom. The last time there
were tournament machines. They play like regular VP. Not sure what the game
will be this time but last time it had a decreased royal and increased quads.
Credits and time are already on the machines, no cash involved. 8 sessions
go to 2 semifinals to the 1 final. That would be 25% of the players in the
qualifying sessions advance, 50% of the players in the semifinals advance, 10
players win something. Prize package is poor considering what that do for
slot tournaments ($75k vs $25k for the VP).
