VP Superstitious (THE "Key to Success"???)

Just want to share something very different (sounding like Stevie
Wonder's song "Very Superstitious") I saw the last 3 weeks or so
while playing Video Poker...

Each time this guy is dealt 3-of-a-kind, he'll pause, comb or fix his
hair, look around, grab his keys in his pocket, touch the screen or
the other cards that he did not Hold with (i believe) his car key,
then hit the Draw button. When he gets the 4-of-a-kind, he follows
it with a gesture as if saying "Gotcha!" or "Yes, it worked again!",
then finally he puts the keys back into his pocket.

Wow! I haven't seen anything like that before...

That's amusing.... I've seen people do whacky stuff like this before.

For a very brief period of time, I dated a woman who called herself a
Wiccan, who was also a gambler. She would sit and make funny little rune
signs with her fingers at VP machines while she was playing, saying she was
"casting spells" on the machines.

When she would lose (and she invariably did) she said it was because she was
being "punished" for "trying to use the Gift" for financial gain.

This did not lead to a long relationship.

Maybe he's seen travel channel show about Slot machine testing where
they use that electronic gizmo to assure that a shot of voltage will
NOT affect the outcome of the game. Maybe he's got one of those
electronic gizmos on his key chain.

and just Maybe he'll get a visit from the big guys in suits if the
camera jockeys put two and two together.

More likely he's just a (slightly) more flamboyant loonie than the
rest of us! lol. I myself don't like to waste my concentration
HOPING for a card that is already pre-determined to show or not show.

As was discussed last year, the card may or may not have been "pre-
determined". If I remember right, the draw in newer IGT machines in
Nevada was NOT "pre-determined" (as if it really mattered).

I once saw a woman take her cigarette lighter (I don't think she smoked!) and wave the flame past the dollar feeder before she put her money into the machine.
