VP Software Advice Needed

Hi all

I own both Winpoker and Frugal Video Poker, unfortunately early
editions. My current computer operating system is Vista with a new
upgrade to Windows 7 coming in October. These programs do not work with
my new system. Searches at LV Advisor, Jean Scott and for Wolf Gaming
have not been successful in finding how to update my disc or purchase a
new one.

How do I contact someone who can supply an appropriate version of either
or both programs? (Or do you have a better program to recommend?)

I'm in the same situation as you, I also wondered if Video Poker For
Winners would work when they send Windows 7 to me, I also have Vista
right now, anyway I sent them an E-Mail asking if thought there would be
a problem when I switch to Windows 7, and they told me they didn't think
there would be, and if there is they will correct it.

I run Winpoker in Vista with no problems except the graphics don't render perfectly but this is not a real problem.

When new Operating Systems (OS) are involved or when in doubt whether a program or an application will run or not, take advantage of the FREE 30-day or 15-day trial versions and give it a try. This is probably the best way to go since no matter what others recommend to you, your taste of the GUI or the 'look and feel' of the program may be different than theirs. As far as I know, the closest one (look alike) to the real IGT Video Poker machines display (cards and Draw/Hold buttons) is WinPoker.

How you contact someone for current version(s) or installation problems, that should be easy --- visit the company website and click on "Contact Us" or "Support" link. Use Google, yahoo, Bing or other Search engines if you don't know the name of the company or the maker of your video poker program.

In Vista (32-bit), WinPoker and Frugal Video Poker have been running smoothly in my notebook PC for the over a year, no problem encountered.
Windows 7 is not Officially released yet so who knows what "Last Minute Changes", if any, will do?

Hope this helps.
