VP Online Play?

The VP Online group is not active.

Does anyone here play online VP? I saw only BODOG in the database.

I have been playing some VP at World Sports Exchange Casino for pennies. Have played live poker for quite awhile on this site, unfortunately not much poker table business, but I believe the site has been legit and payouts have been handled quickly and accurately.

Is there any online site recommended by posters here based on favorable experiences?

TIA

Diane

Hi Diane, In my opinion the best software is Real Time Gaming. In fact, I think that is what BoDog uses. However, there's a lot of smut on many of the operators, so you have to pick a reputable one. Yes, there are good ones. (that pay) I recommend Casinomeister for some good info. Anyway, the RTG software can be set for many different pay tables. Some places are horribly short pay. Some are pretty good. The Mainstreet Group is one of the better ones, I believe. Their games are liberal also. Be careful with bonuses at any online casino. The terms and conditions can get tricky.

By the way, I was a friend of Barbara. Hard to believe she's been gone almost two years. Speaking of old Gardena players, I guess you probably heard Russ died.

Anyway, check out Casinomeister. GL!

Thank you for the info. Yes, it is hard to believe its been that long for Barbara. I only knew her for 6-7 years, but it was a good friendship that we re-visited every time I went to LA and the Bike.
I did not know about Russ. I haven't been to rgp for quite awhile and even then only sporadically due to the garbage.

I will check out your reccomendation. Thanks

Diane

Without getting into the subject of "bonus-whoring", some of the games offered with RTG software are pretty good by themselves. Many offer full-pay Pick'em, and the Aces & Eights is like 99.80%. There used to be several that had a version of Joker with a 20000 coin sequential and a "7" for the full house, and that game was maybe 99.96 or maybe even positive with the sequential. (I forget) But I have not seen a casino with that version for a long time. Not a reputable one anyway. There was a "Crystal Palace Group" or something like that that had it. The group may have changed their name but I would stay away from it. NOT trustworthy! (check Casinomeister).

I know the RTG software is capable of being set with positive Deuces Wild. Yes, I've seen it on more than a couple of casinos in the past.

There was A LOT of good VP online before the curtain came down in late 2006 for us Americans. But even then, I always really liked RTG's software. If you just want to play without a bonus, there should be no trouble getting paid if you follow the Good List on Casinomeister. Of course, funding may be another matter. I use a pre-paid Visa that I can reload.

I love online video poker. I can wake up in the morning and lose $100 before I even brush my teeth. It's great!

Living in the UK, by far the best plays are online, especially when bonuses are available.

Betfair Casino is very reputable, uses Chartwell software, and even offers zero house edgeJacks or Better (RF pays 4880.

Warning: online gambling when you arent handling "real money" and playing off a credit card, it can be very easy to lose more than you can afford.

I play online VP nightly. I've hit a Royal at Bodog before and really like their software. But I've hit most of my Royals as well as other big hands, at caribsports.com. And the best part is, you can get your money out overnight. A lot of these other places takes weeks to get your money.

I'm not for sure if it's been posted yet, but here is a great video poker resource. They have reviews and recommendations of the top online sites.

http://www.videopokerballer.com/

It's one of the best resources I've found....has links to vpFree and nearly all the other VP sites out there.

Is play online an advantage play or short pay?

Mostly it would be negative. There are ways to exploit bonuses, but the best days of doing that essentially came to a halt in late 2006. (for Americans)

Exploiting bonuses was not exactly a path to Easy Street. It involved jumping through a lot of hoops and knowing how to keep from getting burned. I don't recommend it if you are a newbie. There's a lot of traps to fall into.

However, there are several spots that are close to even-money. I mentioned one already, and that would be full-pay Pick'em, which can be found on numerous sites that use Real Time Gaming software. Also, it's been a long time since I played at any Microgaming sites, but they had one called "All Aces", or something like that. It was essentially like Triple Bonus Plus but figured out to 99.96% or so. Don't expect to play that at an advantage, but like I said, they're very close to an even play.

It is my understanding that Betfair does not allow people from North America.
