During a marathon event, the casino itself does NOT want to post leaders,
points, etc. in case the front runner is so far ahead, the rest of the field
gives up. This, then, would eliminate the whole idea of getting heavy play.
In looking for credible information, then, I would not count on the
information of my closest competitor(s). And, likewise, if asked, I would not reveal
the exact number or "handle" that I knew I had played.
This was a known tactic when they had those Royal Flushes/month contests.
Some people would "broadcast" their number but others remained "quiet" and in
many cases surprised the field at the end.
If asked, in either scenario, I would just say I'm not giving out that info.
