Just curious - What was the cost of the VP machine? Could you have had
different games on it if you wanted?

VP machine for home use
When we in Vegas during Labor Day week we checked out the Gamblers General Store. They had several older SIGMA machines. As I remember, they were in the $1500 neighborhood. They would look kind of cool in a finished basement or game room.

Just curious - What was the cost of the VP machine? Could you have had different games on it if you wanted?

$999 ..... a buck short of a 25c Royal Flush 
They had a couple of different machines with different games on them. Some had 9/6 JOB, short pay deuces, I don't remember the others. We selected this one for the FPJP and 10/7 DB and the 16/11 DD was OK. I'm working with the manager to see if I can get FPDW in place of the Nevada Bonus Poker. I have yet to examine the innards. The paytables are not programmable as far as I know. He indicated that this machine requires a chip change. There was a machine with the multigame screen with my games on it but the selection menu had different games in their place. For example the DB was replaced with JOB.
The dollar bill takes 1-5-10-20 dollar bills. But I don't think it reads the newest of the $20. The machine was cleaner than any that I've played at lately. And I do like the slant top for comfort. And the keys for the money box.
He tells me that they will be getting some bar top machines for those who want to build them into their own bar.
It is nice to set it up with the options that we like-
dealt speed
sound volume
music
color options
card animation
limits for coin droppings
etc.
