VP Machine counts 4000 credits after RF Hit

I have just returned from LV after a weeks stay. All the good action
happened in the first two days I was there. I hit a RF at the Fitz.
I was astounded because the machine did not lock up. It started
counting out 4000 credits. When done, I had 4020 credits. At first I
thought I had not selected 5 credits to play I quickly checked and I
had. I still did not believe what was going on until the machine had
counted over 1000 credits. I just sat there and watched, along with
everybody else, since the counting of individual credits caught a
lot of attention. I always thought that the machine would lock up
instantly!! Guess not in all cases.

After I recoup I will post a trip report, I was just curious if this
had happened to anyone else. While I was at Palace Station Saturday,
I was dealt a RF. The machine locked up instatntly, as I expected.

I've seen a Game King in AC do this. The player was frustrated that
the machine didn't lock up and was afraid she wouldn't get the
jackpot. I suggested that if she wanted an immediate handpay that she
cashout, otherwise she was free to keep on playing.

Combine this with "ticket out" and I think you've got true vp utopia!

The Optimum's at Sunset Station and the FPDW at MSS total credits for
royals as well.

Seems to be a growing, and welcome, trend.
