VP in Western Washington?

Washington is a class II state. All games are controlled by a central computer. They must imitate either a bingo game or pull tab? I forget the details, but do a search of the database for class II machines and you will see what I mean.

Save your money. Do not go into an Indian casino in Washington. period!

Does anyone know of any good VP
machines in Western Washington? I've never played VP
there but have to move there soon because of a new
job. All the casinos in WA are Indian casinos, which
seem to be notorious for poor payout tables. With
everyone avoiding online play because of their unreliable
nature, it looks like I will have to retire from VP play
just as I am getting into it unless I come across some
decent machines in WA.

Yup - Closest thing to real video poker is in Oregon, as far as I know. I just went to Spirit Mountain this past weekend -- it's 4 hours or so south of Seattle. They have 9-6 JOB and 9-6 DDB both in multi-denominations.

No, it is not. The games are based on lottery scratch-off tickets.

Well, don't go into them to play slots or fake-VP. But there are many craps
tables with low limits and friendly comp policies, and plenty of card rooms
with the same conditions. I hear the blackjack is overall pretty bad in
this area but that isn't my game.

The alcohol is often at market or near-market prices even while gaming,
which is unfortunate, but the beer selection is great in this area, which is
fortunate.

Someone else mentioned a Seven Feathers casino in Oregon as having good VP machines. It would be more accessible since it is on I-5. Have you played there before?

You can also go to Idaho casinos (near Spokane), but I doubt you'll find any good paytables (I never have). Yesterday I visited the Quest Casino in Spokane and checked a Deuces Wild machine. The "Help" screen mentions a genie that may pop up ... this is NOT real VP ... the EV cannot be determined using the paytable.

More accessible, yes, but a ways further south from either Portland or Seattle. It's 3 hours south of Portland, which makes it about 5:40 south of Seattle, instead of 4 hours to Spirit Mountain from Seattle.

One other warning about gambling in Washington ... the machine Keno EV also cannot be determined based on the paytable (same as VP). The machine Keno plays like real Keno, but isn't. My guess it also is based on lottery scratch-off tickets. Bill, correct me if I'm wrong about this.

If you want to play Keno in Washington, play paper Keno.
