A couple of years ago a friend of mine and me hit the dollar full pay
deuces at the Peppermill/Reno when they were first installed. We put
another friend in action. Everything went honky-dory for three
days. Besides the game, we were getting add-ons out of the
peppermillions kiosk, and mounting up big spin tickets for the coming
Sunday. We were running $5000.00 an hour each in action and played
12 hours per day, but wanting to attract as little attention as
possible (very hard to do when you're playing 12 hours per day), I
avoided meeting any casino hosts. So did the guy we put in action.
My friend already had a casino host from past play. The only comps
we went for were $20.00 meal comps apiece when we got hungry.
Whenever I went to get a meal comp the boothling would say "according
to your play we would like you to meet our casino host" and I would
say "sorry but I've got to eat and run, maybe I'll have time
tomorrow." We were beating the hell out of the play and into the
third day we started noticing a floor person eyeballing us like
hell. A few hours later my friend got up from his machine to talk to
someone he knew. He was standing right behind me when his casino
host came up to him and said "I'm disqualifying you from all
drawings and special events." My friend asked why. "Because you
are a professional." Then my friend asked whether he still had comp
priveleges. "You haven't abused the comp system, so I'll let that go
for now. Now I've got to find so and so and so and so and inform
them.' The names he said were mine and the guy we put in action. As
soon as he walked off we hit the cashout buttons and went for a
huddle. We decided that, since we knew that Peppermill hosts had
totally pulled other players cards in the past, we should quit the
play. I later checked with the boothlings to see how many big spin
tickets I had - zero. That's the value of casino hosts to me. They
can all kiss my ass. I avoid them like the plague.
