I used to play in a Venetian VP tournament where the pay tables were on
special machines with much better pay tables. I think a pair paid 10 & a
royal was 750. I stopped going because Venetian has a policy of cutting down
the prize fund in accordance with attendance which looked very bad when their
neighbors usually forgave the difference.

They loosen up machines for slot tournaments. The only way they could
loosen them up for VP would be to use a better pay table. I have seen VP
tournaments in casinos with nothing even close to full pay, that have full pay on
their machines in tournaments.
