VP Control

Wow, thanks for that link. I can't believe that crap. I will never feel sorry for the casinos again. Heh, not that I did much anyway, but I've never really been consumed with an adversarial attitude. Reading that almost makes me hate them. lol And what really gets me is that it is so short-sighted. Instead of spending time and money trying to defeat the rare card counter, they should be welcoming card counting. It's just like video poker, most people are not capable or willing to become good enough to make a dent in the casinos. The casinos are costing themselves money by fighting so hard. That MindPlay thingy is bad. That's really bad.

So now I'm curious. I'm curious which casinos have implemented something like that.

8 casinos by 2005 according to this dated press release:

The 2005 versions were somewhat bulky, the raised chip trays were somewhat obvious. No doubt today's versions look indentical to a regular table. No updated press releases that I know of to state where these methods are now being employed. Apparently they have the full blessing of the NGR as they don't consider a casino to be a person and thus not subject to the same laws that individuals are, in other words casinos can cheat because the NGR doesn't consider them to be legal persons subject to the gaming regulations.

"In a letter to an advantage player in 2003, Neilander wrote that the MindPlay system is acceptable because a casino is not a person under Nevada gaming regulations."
