Curious as they apparently have no slot club at all BUT the database claims they have "Discretionary Comps" which doesn't seem likely without a tracking system.
The reason I ask is that they apprarently have just added a bunch of nickel 100 play NSUD machines.
VP comps at Western Village
I've never figured this out either, but I've been there only a couple of
times, and one time a hostess walked up to someone and said something like
"Okay, you're in." So I think you "check in" with a host and they comp you
based on time somehow? I don't know, it's weird. Maybe they use the honor
system, which would be a lucky break for me since I put $5,500,000 in
coin-in in there last week.

A host will wander around and note what you are playing from time to time and will make an educated guess as to your CI. You should introduce yourself and tell the host what you would like. They used this system at the Cal-Neva a while back, too.

They HAD (and probably still do have) 100 play 9/6 JoB at Western Village, and they're very generous with comps...when I want to go eat at their steakhouse, I just go play the 100 play's for a while, then ask for a comp for two to the steakhouse and I have never been denied yet

I haven't been to Reno in years but WV continues to send me a mailer for a free dinner ($25? limit) for my birthday. Very nice people and comps have been easy in the past. They knew I was an AP and still had no problem comping me. Too bad they got rid of a VP game with a 102% payback (that was certified by TomSki) a while ago -- that was a fun game since you hit a Royal Flush in about 12,000 hands.
I joked to WV staff that they got Peppermill's hand-me-down. Very classy place despite being a low, low-roller joint. They told me since they had no cash back or expensive slot club, they could afford VP games with near 100% paybacks.
PS The variance on 100-play can kill your bankroll.

Am curious as to how they have your address if there is no slot club?

There IS a slot-club, REALLY...there's just no "official" slot club.
I just used my $25 birthday meal...they ARE going over to Peppermill Passports cards by the 1st of the year (signage up everywhere)
I can confirm that as of a week ago there are "Coming Soon Slot Club" type signs all over Western Village.

Because you are confusing a mailing list with a slot club. At that time, WV did not have a slot club, but they did maintain a mailing list. I was on their mailing list because they asked me so I gave them my DL.
