After playing VP for 6 hours I went to the buffet at Harrahs Rincon in San Diego. I needed to use the restroom but it wasn't there (in the buffet) anymore. None of the employees could tell me why so I asked their boss. She said they boarded it up to cut down on theft. Theft??? of what. She said food of course. I can't imagine taking a plate of food into a buffet bathroom, sitting on the bowl and wrapping it up in toilet paper before I haul it away. Do people really use the bathroom to steal buffet food??? What about the Ecoli?
VP at the buffet
Thanks for posting this - not having a head close to an eatery is bad - and with the post about the so called "non smoking " section not really being a non smoking area at Harrah's Rincon no point in going there. Maybe the real reason is that they didn't want their food going to pot (potty that is)

Casinos think all of their customers are thieves and it's just a
matter of catching and enforcement. When you use a bathroom, they
don't think it's because you have to use a bathroom, they
automatically think you are up to no good and trying to cheat them in
some way, maybe you are just purging so you can go back to the buffet
for more? It's the skinny ones that you really have to watch out for,
most of them are advantage consumers. A couple of them in one night
could wipe out an entire month's profit!

I'm not sure whether it was noted on this forum that the Silverton points-to-free-play promotion had been discontinued. We had received a postcard saying this would continue "indefinitely" but I just checked at the club and they said it ended May 31. They did say, however, that points earned in May could be redeemed for free play through June.
