For anyone who wonders if there's life after death, I'll testify there is.
Thursday night (5/17) I was playing 25¢ JOB at the River Bar. After a not so fruitful day I
dropped $40 into one machine and decided to call it a night.
Next morning I went back to the River Bar around 8:30 and pretty much had my choice of
machines. Still, the fact that I had dribbled away $40 so quickly the night before was on
my mind and I thought just MAYBE there's a chance I could win some of that money back
by playing the same machine.
I put in $20---nothing. Then I put in a $100. I played about three hours but managed to
dribble the $100 all the way down to $20. I don't know what you would do, but by that
time I was mumbling and blubbering to myself. Finally, a four-of-a-kind showed. I
figured there must be another one right behind it. Well, not quite. I kept playing for
another half hour when finally...at least three (maybe four) four-of-a-kinds showed up
within 5-10 minutes. I had never experienced a frequency of four-of-a-kinds like that at
any time before. Also a couple of full houses.
I held on for a little while, hoping that maybe the royal was right around the corner.
Finally I cashed out at 12:15, (3 hrs and 45 mins of play) recovering the $120 I invested
that morning, plus 227 points. I couldn't believe how good I felt just to break even after
such a dismal morning.
