Voyage of the Damned at the Wynn

Just a few notes from the 7s and 8s promo at the Wynn, and a cautionary tale.

-the bonus for said quads is paid in the form of a voucher from a floor supervisor, which you then take to the slot club booth, and is then turned into freeplay.

-rumor is that the mailer for this promo was only sent to pathetically bad losers. I qualify. My luck at the Wynn has been horrid.

-accepted "free" room offers are deducted from your comp account. We accepted a three-night offer including $1000 in food comps last December. My comp account is still about $400 in the red because of that. I can't get so much as a lunch buffet there.

-my fellow pathetic losers and myself continue to lose there. It's not hard to get a seat at the "Red 8" bank, but it's impossible to find anyone winning there (was playing next to a fellow $1 10/7 DB yesterday as he had a string of quads, bring his credit total up over $1200. "You even yet?" I asked. "No", he said. "Still 1000 down".) I'm not big on conspiracy theories, but the behavior of this slot department has always been bizarre, and we are the perfect victims: no matter how much we lose, we keep coming back. It's a 102%, $80/hour play. How can we stay away?

They must have their "millinium chips" installed
