Preston, here's your problem. 9/6 JoB will suck you dry if you don't hit
the Royal. Using rounded numbers, the base game is 99.54%. The Royal
contributes 1.98%. So, if you're playing JoB without a Royal, you're getting bled to
death on a 97.5% game. Plus, if you're a junkie for the excitement of the
Big Hit, there simply isn't one in JoB other than the Royal. DDB will pop off
with a big bonus quad once in a while.
PickEm is 99.95%. The Royal and StFL together are a bit under 1% of that,
so if you don't hit either of those unlikely hands, then at least you're on a
99% game.

Ok, I figured that by changing my play to 9/6 JOB, 5 line machines,
that I would do well. Quite the contrary since adopting this strategy
in April 2007 I have dropped half of my bankroll. During this period I
have not had a RF and I find that playing JOB just slowly bleeds the
funds. Prior to this period I was playing lots of poor paying 8/5 DDB
but hitting the occasional aces and big quads that put me ahead. At
this time I am thinking of switching to the very exciting game of
pickem, so if anyone sees me nodding off give me a poke.
