There's nothing good at present. You might get something along the lines of spin-the-wheel-and-get-$20-free-play.

Best places to play VP, in this order:

1. Atlantis--no contest.

2. GSR--now has very decent base games at all stakes, including NSUD, and you should be able to earn some decent bounceback.

3. Eldorado Resorts--but not Circus Circus, the games there are now just terrible.

4. Peppermill--used to rank much higher, but early this year comp rates on VP were utterly decimated, and it's not clear how possible it will remain to earn rooms and bounceback through VP play--the most attractive rooms and amenities in northern Nevada, though, and that, too, is no contest.

5. Gold Dust West (!)--stinky little place and bad games, but modest play will earn decent bounceback, if you're in a position to take advantage of it.

6. Harrah's Lake Tahoe and Harvey's--if the Harrah's company likes you, and there are a lot of people they don't like any more.

Forget the rest.

In reference to WRX’s numbers:

  1. I agree until you win too much and they no-mail you. At least you keep your comps.
  2. Good games but an awful mailer. Think $15 per month for $40k+ coin in. Their mailer right after they upgraded was very good but it went downhill quickly.
  3. I checked the inventory at Silver Legacy and Eldorado in October and found lots of good games. Have there been downgrades since?
  4. I mostly agree.
  5. I guess I don’t consider Illinois Deuces a “bad game” any more because they have that. Reno and Carson City are separate cards but have similar mailers.
  6. It’s ironic that the rest of the Tahoe casinos have horrible games yet Harrah’s and Harvey’s Lake Tahoe have some of the best games in the whole Total Rewards chain.
