Visit to Foxwoods last night

Went to Foxwoods last night for double points. Played dollar BP and
pickem. No particular luck. [Probably serves me right for staying
in CT when the rest of my family is currently in LV.] Noticed
GameMaker $5.00 machines w full pay pickem in Grand Pequot casino
high limit area (which appear to be new) as well as the long
standing $5 machines in the Great Cedar casino high area. Also
meters on .25c and .50c machines are at 140 and dollar and higher
are at 80; so it appears they abandoned the 90 for all games.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I went to Foxwoods this morning and the
alcove of great cedar was roped off and the bank of .25c pick'em machines were
disabled. The $5 machines that used to have pick'em in the great cedar high limit
area (played them 2 weeks ago) had only four games and Pick'em was not one of
them. The menu was different. I don't know what to say. Perhaps they are cutting
back on pick'em for the duration of the double points promo this month? I hope they
are not gone for good. I didn't look in Grand Pequot high limit for the machines you
mention below.

I went to foxwoods on Sunday and the machines in the alcove are back
up, but no more pickem. Even the short pay pickem games have been
removed. I have no idea why. Sorry -Russ

Went there last night, confirmed pickem MIA, even $5 at both
locations. Played $1 BP and broke even and picked up 100 points w
double points in play.

Here's my theory as to why pickem MIA: When I walked in Great Cedars
Casino at middle enterence (past fountains enterence) there were
large banks of double down stud machines with people waiting to get
play even during non-double points time. Casino must figure this is
the "exotic" VP game of choice. Did not check out the pay tables,
but according to the standard tables the house edge is about 2.3% or
a 97.7 ep. Strategy seems so simple a monkey could be taught to play
if the machine were to dispense edible rewards.
