Visit Harrahs Laughlin

In 2 weeks I will be making my first trip to Harrahs Laughlin.
       As a new player to VP this past year I was wondering if anyone had any
suggestions on what are some good machines to play.
       I am learning Double Bonus and Deuces Wild and usually play Nickel and
quarter machines.
       Any other casino's in Laughlin that may be a must to visit while I am
there.

You will find that there isn't too much full pay at Harrahs.

I would highly recommend River Palms. They have the most 25c full pay video poker of all the casinos in Laughlin.
We have gotten many many free night comp offers, plus food comps, plus special event show tickets, plus monthly come-back checks. Their only shortcomings is the low casback but we usually get 10X coupons for this.

River Palms has a roped off section called "Winners Wharf" that has about a hundred full pay machines when used with the card-of-the-day. On the top floor are most of the 25c FPDW (about 20 machines).

FPDW and 10/7 DB are good games to learn for Laughlin.

   Have fun. I was there last December and found one 9/6 Jacks or Better machine in the non-smoking casino. But I didn't look too hard, just played it for an hour or so and left.
   Check the VP Free data base. They are pretty up to date.
   Please report back what you find. I'm going there in 4 1/2 weeks. After an hour of play, they offered me a free room for two nights.
   Have fun and come back a winner.

The Edgewater has MORE than a dozen full pay 25c deuce machines.
I do not think that the River Palms comes close.

In Harrah's defense, they have the nicest rooms I've stayed in in
Laughlin.

I'll add that if you're a low roller, there are quite a few nickel
full pay video poker machines at River Palms. I got a nickel royal
there.

One minus point at River Palms: their buffet isn't very good. Haven't
tried the coffee shop.

The coffee shop at the Edgewater is very good. We've been there twice
and enjoyed it. We weren't to impressed with the slots and VP at the
Edgewater, though.

The breakfast buffet at the Riverside is not fancy, but good quality
and reasonably priced.

Your first trip to Laughlin...flying in or driving? Can I ask what
nights you are staying so I can point you to some promos/specials?
Like to walk alot? Weather should be beautiful.

My comments on Harrahs: They got you isolated a bit being the
southern most casino of the nine. Nice property, one of the better
buffets, new the Range Steakhouse. You going to see Earl Turner,
formally of the Rio?

VP at Harrahs: I could only find a couple .25 10/7 DB single line
games in the non-smoking section and 3 $1 10/7 ones by the high
roller area. The VPfree database has 9/6 JB, but I didn't find
them. There are rows of new Game Kings, but short pay.

River Palms has a selection of FPDW (14 by top of escalators, 2 by
main cage, 8 in Game Kings on the way to slot club from escalators, 4
downstairs in Game Kings by Pirate Ship Bar). The Winners Wharf area
is fun for JB,BP,DB, and WHA with you own personal card of the day.

That must be your update to the Edgewater's VP inventory in the
database. So there is a new bank of multi-games by registration? I
remember the Bonus Ace$/progressives that I would check in that
section. The other bank of multi-games with FPDW runs on the angle
by the showroom? I did find the 3 .25 Triple Play progressives
(NSUD, etc.) at the end of the long bar by the escalators.

The VPfree database still has us getting .25% in comps. My $6K of
play since the "One Card" kicked in has generated just $4 in comps.
Are you getting any bankable comps playing good VP?

Full pay deuces facing the showroom and also facing the non smoking
room.
Cash is 0.25% and I think (???) that comps equal cash. My current
comps exceed $1000.
At my last play at the Edgewater, I started with $963, put on 3500
points (about $90 cash), had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the coffee
shop, and ended with more than $1000. Don't know the exact amount.

Harrahs 9/6 JoB are in gamemaker machines by the door leading to the
river walk.

River palms - scattered FPDW/DB but whatever you do, DO NOT eat at
the buffet. We got it for free w/ slot card signup, and it still
wasn't worth the time.

Ramada Express has 1-100 coin 10/7 nickel machines by the tables.

Colorado Bell has 8/5 Bonus and 9/6 JoB at the bar near the exit to
Edgewater.
