Viejas - major remodel/construction ongoing

Just FYI - So Cal gamers (San Diego/east )- Viejas has been and continues to ‘remodel’ their interior (casino) as they plan for their expanded West-side Hotel tower and added restaurant space, etc.

A ‘small’ (like boutique) ‘new’ area - which is really where part of the old main entrance (still closed) that faces the Outlet Ctr and the area where the Chinese/food area (still closed) and small coffeebar used to be…

A full report has been sent to the updates. Nothing really new (as far as NUMBER) of machines and types of vp-games offered, in fact most have ‘MOVED’ around in the newly remodeled casino.

Also CLOSED / temp - upstairs OTB/Mexican restaurant dining area, the center bar, cashier’s cage, and 24/7 Cafe! - Not sure what will be done with all these areas of the casino.

Stay tuned for an up-to-date report, as soon as I discover what the remodeled casino will look like/where inventory is, etc.

For those that take the drive out there, be careful on Crowded promotional (dwg) evenings, the one main Parking garage is now like a ‘cul-de-sac’, as they (for some stupid reason) do not allow traffic to flow through to the Hotel/east anymore. It’s basically a 1-way loop up 4 levels , and if you can’t find a parking spot, you have to drive (with traffic flow) all the way back down and out.

Martin’s Parking Tip: Park across the street/Bingo side of the Outlet Center (where the small slot boutique casino/Bingo hall and bowling alley (mini-alley about 12 lanes) is. You can also have the security guards (inside or near Bingo/slot parlor entrances) page a 'shuttle ’ for you to shuttle you back to the main entrances - either through east side/Hotel park and seminar rooms hallways OR the longer walk back to West-side Valet /escalator entrance to the casino.

If you do walk, it seems safer on East side, even many employees can be seen from time to time walking from Outlet/Bingo side back to Viejas casino via current (East) hotel entrance…

That’s all for now.
More later,
Martin
