Viejas - going forward or backwards?

As they are in the midst of an extensive remodel and geaaring up for their new hotel, I'm surprised to learn that their ONE (SMALL) Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant is NO LONGER LISTED on their website and assume it must have closed!

No surprise - as they don't seem to understand the NEED FOR MORE RESTAURANTS for their patrons. Check out ANY BUSY weeknight or weekend, and practically the ONLY place(s) to go WITHOUT long waits are in the food court restaurants (fast food) in the Outlet center,
or if you are a table player and like to eat as you play.
V-lounge may be ok - but again, overpriced and usually crowded,

So they took out the 24/7 coffeeshop and put in a fancy Hamburger Hamlet- is it any good?

How about service times/wait time?

Upstairs (I think), they took out the former 'Mezz' bar,
and changed it to a 'North of the Border'/taco bar.

Bigger bar now downstairs (replacing multiple tables that didn't have players!).

Are they growing in a good way? I don't know.
Only time will tell....
