Cons:

-Can't use enter key to deal/draw
-No user defined games
-spelled statistics wrong
-limited capabilities
-ADVERTISING

Pros:

-Nice usability (error screen is very nice)
-Can set speed to get realistic casino feel

It has a long way to go to be competitive with the current software,
but it is a good start.

This is a great find! Congratulations. I downloaded immediately. I only
played an hour-ish, but I love it. Sure it's is missing some bells and
whistles, but it's free. Great catch!

yes, can't use the Enter key for Deal/Draw, but did you discover, as
I did, that you can use the SpaceBar instead?

I guess this may be the trend. VideoPoker.Com, where I play their 100-
play Poker games -
http://www.videopoker.com/gamesMember/hundred_play/_play.asp
recetly switched to keys "CVBNM" for holding cards, and the SpaceBar
for Deal/Draw.

The SpaceBar and CVBNM being in the center (horizontally) of the
keyboard, there are accessible for both right and left handed people
with equal ease. And being close to each other, they can all be
operated with one hand; perhaps leaving the other hand to play an
adjacenr machine!

I noticed that English is not their strong suit. But the articles on
that site are informative, and clear. I like the interface a lot.
WinPoker and FVP have a lot to learn from these folks, as to
presentation. Notice they graphically show the progress of the
session on the same screen, in a small window.

And the look of the cards!

No, I hadn't. This is a good option for better one-handed play but
shouldn't eliminate the enter key for those who want a more "casino-
like" feel.

I'm all for additional OPTIONS, but I always shake my head in wonder
when programmers REPLACE one option with another. It requires very
little additional work to provide both interfaces.

While I stated I thought VPH had some nice usability it should be
noted that usability is often very personal. I certainly would NOT
claim it was significantly better than either winpoker or FVP. For
example, I found the little window you mentioned of little value.
Interestingly, the simple vpfreebie program provides a facility not
found anywhere else where it updates the ER of the chosen cards as
they are chosen. I found this to be a great aid in understanding the
difference between selected cards without additional keystrokes.

As Holmes says, we observe, but we don't notice!

I still don't see it.

Which vpfreebie prgram are we talking about?
