Just curious about something I heard at my last visit to the casino. Is there really groups of people that pool there money together and split the winnings after a day at the casinos?
video poker teams
Why wouldn't there be? Wanna do it? Get yer possy together and make a
deal. If anybody reneges, take em out to the desert. You've seen "No
Country for Old Men", right?

Usually, only one or two people are the brains and bankroll of the
team. The rest of the players are hired help.

There are most definitely blackjack teams, so I don't see why there
wouldn't be video poker teams as well.
I have also seen groups of local VP advantage players who are chasing a
large progressive Royal who will make an on-the-spot agreement to split
the jackpot should any member of the "team" hit it.

Suggesting, Mickey, a scenario in which the senior players are looking
to lock down a play. I expect this is the more likely case.
In others, it's a matter of taking advantage of the bankroll principal
of "two can live as cheaply as one".

Hit the "send" button a little prematurely -- not exactly what I had
meant to express (the "lock down" suggestion is off the mark).
The point is that when it comes to bankroll sharing (vs. employing
others to better leverage the play), the latter principal is what's at
hand.
