Video poker overseas

Any info. on videp poker overseas in foreign countries.
Its probably a waste of time asking but you never know.

I've played DW in Nice, Cannes and Monte Carlo. Paytables suck, of
course, and you never know if the machines are rigged. But it does
provide for entertainment, for those of us who like to do this sort
of thing. After all, it is "entertainment" and should be treated so.

Sorry. I replied too fast. There is no DW in Nice (Casino Ruhl). They seem to
be big on Joker's Wild there.

My wife and I played VP in a casino on the island of Madeira, off the
coast of Africa. Madeira is a state or province of Portugal. As I
recall the paytable seemed bad, but I couldn't be sure because it was
denominated in Portugese coinage (I forget what it was called then),
and everything written in Portugese. I was unable to convert the pay
table to US coin equilivants. With the "Euro" it should be much
easier to figure out today. As I recall it didn't seem to behave the
same as LV VP, so I didn't play very long. I've forgotten the casino
name, but it was part of a luxury hotel. It was an odd, but
interesting, experience.

Why would you have to convert the currency? Pay tables are usually denominated in coins, so it would seem irrelevant what a coin is worth. Am I missing something?

I could have explained it better but I did say "coins"
and "coinage". The problem was the multiples didn't make sense. We
say 8/5 or 7/5, but on their machines it was like 810/530 ... I don't
remember exactly, but very odd. Now I wish I had written it down.
It was very difficult to figure out how the numbers related. But I'm
sure the paytable was very poor. It concerned me more that it didn't
play the same as LV VP.

I've just changed the "Outside USA" DataBase Directory to
read "Cruise Ships + Outside USA".

Not much coverage in these categories now, but I'll add
DataBase pages as info becomes available.
